The Lonely Dinosaur

"Maybe it happened gradually, or maybe all at once—one day, something changed. A loss too big for small hands to carry. And so, you became something bigger. Something strong, something ancient, something that roared at the world. But even dinosaurs get lonely.

The Lonely Dinosaur is a solo journaling game about a child who is also, undeniably, a dinosaur. It's about the way we turn into something else when we need to, and about the people who do (or don't) see us for who we really are. It's about trying so hard to show love to someone who is hurting, and hoping that they will understand". 

This game contains themes of loss. Please be kind to yourself. It's a silly game, but it can also be sad, too. If things get heavier than you expected, feel free to put the game down for a while.

You play by filling in the details of the story, similar to ad-lib games. When you see brackets [like this], use the prompts to help tell your story. Be descriptive, add details. There's no winning or losing, there's just the story you tell.

I wrote this game for the tender T-rexes, angry Avimimuses, silly Spinosauruses, and anyone out there who knows how it feels to live through an extinction-level event.

This game was created for the Dinosaurs in my TTRPGs?! Jam.
